Do you have the flush screw still? Do you know the thread? Looks about right for my 7.5hp Mercury and I haven't been able to find it anywhere!

Re: Spotted: TS Parts And Accessories For Sale
I've seen these "inflatable boat docks" advertised for ski boats on flat inland waters, places like Eildon, Lake Mulwala, Lake Hume. Obviously a ski boat is in and out of the same spot all day, but they might be an interesting solution under some circumstances.

Re: Spotted: TS Parts And Accessories For Sale
Seen on Facebook marketplace:
Used tandem trailer, $1,300, Melbourne
https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... 009779094/
trailer has newish springs, axles & four wheel hydraulic disc brakes, folding draw bar, 16'3" from last roller to winch head, beast!
This looks to me like it might be an American import trailer from under some sort of imported motorboat, so it might have exotic axles, hubs, bearings and other hardware and it's painted rather than galvanised, but it's potentially suitable for something up to about 20' / 6m long.

Re: Spotted: TS Parts And Accessories For Sale
Has Australian coupling, but also has NO provision to adjust the axle carriage. Spring system is part of main chassis so would never suit a yacht unless major engineering was done to create an adjustable spring carriage

Re: Spotted: Archimedes Penta 4hp air cooled outboard motor for Investigator I563
Paging Investigator owners!
I believe this is the motor that the Investigator was designed to use in a well inside the port side cockpit locker.

Re: Spotted: TS Parts And Accessories For Sale
Whilst the VP is a good motor l had one my Hartley and found no one could service it.
I ended up getting a Mercury for that reason. This was 2004 and it's still my daily motor three boats later.

Not technically a part but could be considered an accessory.
12/240volt evaporative cooler https://www.snowys.com.au/maxi-evaporative-cooler
Yes pumping water into the cabin is not generally desirable but maybe on hot dry nights . . . . Acceptable.
Edit price marked down to $69

Re: Spotted: TS Parts And Accessories For Sale
Not sure how well an evap cooler will work in a boat.
To give you some idea, I have a humidifier unit which attaches to my CPAP machine and has a 5 Amp heating element. So when on the boat I leave it at home and just run the CPAP alone at under 1 Amp, and I never get a dry throat/mouth sleeping, simply because the air near the water and in the boat is always humid anyway. Just getting the air moving inside the cabin at night is probably the best approach.
BTW Jim, I just bought one of the Aldi 65W 12V dehumidifiers for the boat over winter (3 left at Bay Rd Sandringham if anyone is interested), freeing up my mains powered much larger unit to go to Saigon to replace one of Iain's which has failed. Win-win.
The Aldi dehumidifier has a capacity of 400ml per day at 30degC and 80% using 65W. The bigger unit is roughly 5 times that much power and 3 litres a day. I doubt the Aldi unit would do more than a large closet in Saigon!
