Hi All,
Does anyone happen to know the construction of the cockpit sole of an Austral 20? Is it Fibregalssed Ply or solid Fibreglass? Mine is a bit soft in places and I'm wondering the best way to repair it.
Cheers
Matt

Re: Austral 20 Cockpit Sole
Given the silence.
Most are usually Ply core reinforced glassed either side. Is it lifted glass ie: a bubble or soft squishy rotten? With the former you can probably pinhole drill and epoxy to glue it back down. For the latter, it depends on your appetite. If its just a small section you could come at it from underneath, section out the area with a dremel (keeping glass intact) and chisel / scrape the ply, epoxy a piece back in and then expoxy glass back on.
or ignore.
or put a foam or teak floating floor in.
