Hi all

Been lurking for a while with the occasional post - based in Brisbane, sailing out of Manly TB Club in a Sonata7 - Moonspinner

Sailed dinghies on Port Phillip bay, then various other one design fleets - took a 15 year break away from the water - and recently got the bug back.

Loving the winter conditions in Brissy to date - looking forward to some cruising adventures around Moreton Bay.

For my other half - Rozy, this is one big new adventure - loving it to date.

Welcome Lofty. Will have plenty of company sailing out of there on this forum.

Sooner or later someone will confuse you with Loftie, a well known personality and boat builder from Paynesville and keen racer of both Spudguns at GLYC, known to many members here.

He and Jacqui use the usernames "Jax and Stu" or "RL126" here, though we haven't seen them for a while. Pre-warned, when someone asks you about Paynesville or Spudgun, you'll have some chance of recognising what's going on!

(and yes, I was confused until I realised you were Kate and Chris, not Stuart and Jacqui)

Hi Lofty,

As discussed in the club carpark, have a look at joining the Manly Combined Clubs racing. The next races are triangle courses around laid marks so will be short but fun!
Cheers,

Neil
