Re: Site News feed is enabled

Note feedly does not seem to be picking up the TSP news feed. Well it picks up some when you add TSP but does not update after this.
The RSS menu option for Mac OS does seem to work. Might be a Feedly issue. I am still checking.

Look at the tow hitch, it's not override. That black box is clearly the breakaway system. Also has a handbrake lever which my trailer doesn't have.
Then a key marketing feature that the seller should be promoting and not calling it “override”. Mistake.

Don't think it has breakaway braking.

That black box at the base of the winch post may be “it” although override brakes mentioned = no no

Can someone provide the old URL. The way back machine may be able to display the now lost content - if so it can be captured.

On my castle. Air blocks attached to sister clips x 2 Mating sister clips permanently attached to the 2x reefing points (luff and leech) (yes a bit ugly - but I go for function over form) Line from port side at end of boom up to air block, down to STB side of boom and cheek block, along boom to chee...

Well done. re embedding your xls. You can edit your existing post using the full editor. Zip your xls and drag and drop the zip file into the edit window. This will upload the zip file to the post. You can drag and drop the xls but it will have to be xls and not the newer xlsx format and when you do...

I use a fleabay 3000lb winch for my castle. Example: https://www.ebay.com.au/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2060353.m570.l1313&_nkw=3000ib+winch&_sacat=0 The exact model I bought is not longer listed - it is 4+ years old now. I did strip it and add more grease to the planetary gearbox. I ...

Re: Solar panel and mast support on a Castle 650

There is a pin at the bottom of the square section SS tube to stop the panel tube dropping all the way through. Screen Shot 2021-07-10 at 8.48.00 am.png The vertical mounting tube slots between the two middle angles and is secured with a single bolt through both angle sections - thus the panel can p...

Re: Solar panel and mast support on a Castle 650

The square section SS tube and the inserted vertical can be seen here - the grey wire is the old solar power lead that used to come down inside the tube. I replaced this with a much heavier gauge wire and did not run inside the tube. It runs outside and allows disconnection from the panel using the ...

Re: advice on cooler, battery and solar panel please?

My castle came with a 40W panel on a pole and this allowed the panel to be pointed in any direction and assume any angle. I upgraded / improved this for an 80W panel. I can adjust the angle direction even when sailing for optimum angles. IMG_4042.JPG I have the general idea, but a few pics showing ...

Well the New CBH's are out. Seems to be many controversial ratings.
Looks like the boat to have is a Castle 650 with .6607
Sonata 7 has .6818
Castle 650 must be considered a slow boat now
I obviously affected the handicap
