Re: towing your TS with a Motorhome?
The Mercedes Sprinter platform is now available as a 4wd complete with traction control etc. The motorhome manufacturers are offering this as the base. Apparently they are very competant off road so would solve the boat ramp issue. Not cheap though! You'd need more than 2 daughters to sell.....

Fairly sure I put that article up on the Crawford Marine site years ago. All the articles there were from me originally. Other Graham, am painting my house right now so I know what you mean! A lot of the youngs had about 30kgs of lead put into the bottom tip of the centreboard to make them less sens...

Re: Jim Young 6.0 Water Ballast help wanted
Hi Graham, I replied to your FB message the other day. Happy to have a chat sometime. The side ballast tanks were an option in the plans, if you lived where there wasnt much wind then leave them out. Here in SE Qld they're definitely needed. Those slide gates on the CB were awefull so I removed them...

Re: Reinventing the Frostbite regatta - Warwick QLD.
Hey Andy,
How are the arrangements going? I've got the caper cat all cleaned up ready to go, camping gear all packed. I'm bringing my 15yr old daughter who is great at baby sitting and entertaining kids, are there any other kids going?
Do you want us to bring some firewood?
Cheers

We'll be there as usual, ie socialising not racing. Marina Friday arvo, beers, watch the start, beers, and follow up to garys for a few more beers then casual sail back to TCB Sunday.
See you there!

Re: NO SAILING ON LAKE EYRE
Yep it's dumb, and not being able to express opinions is dumber. Dick Smith was on Macca on ABC this morning expressing outrage about it as well. He even wrote to the SA premier about it but got no answer. One small group of australians stopping the rest is ridiculous. As DS said the club was willin...

Well Slainte, are you not a long term QLDer? Haven't you heard??? No matter what weekend easter falls on, it rains like a bastard. Has done for 50 years, even years that it hasn't rained any other day all year, but always Easter, and usually most of easter. No QLDers plan anything other than home, T...

Re: Advice wanted on buying a Dremel ??
I think mine is an Ozito, it's currently on loan to my dad. It seems to be out on loan more often than here!! The bits and blades are pretty cheap from Supercrap or Buntings.
Not sure which side of town you are but I get around the place a lot. You can borrow mine if I can retrieve it.

Re: Advice wanted on buying a Dremel ??
I got a cheap 240V one from Supercrap auto for about $30 including all tools etc. I have used it next to the genuine dremel at work and there's really no difference. Works like a beaut.

I am an ahtiest too, ...... Andy Andy Andy...perlease. We should start up a 'do you believe in god' thread, just as likely to illicit a consensus of opinion...... BTW in Homeopathy they state they dilute the 'active ingredient' up to 10 to the "stupidly big number" times Trouble is the ratio of dilution is about 10 to the 12 times the number of atoms in...

Re: Cheap 20 amp charger of ebay - so far so good
The battery wires and spring clamps don't look anywhere near capable of handling 20A for any significant amount of time!! Make sure you put proper crimps on the ends and shorten them as much as possible. Either that or the photos makes them look thinner than they really are.
