I should have posted before. I gave this antenna to PaulS. Hope he's put it to good use as I received another request from an interested TSPer.

Alko Sensa Brakes Parts
Hi everyone, I managed to lose the brake fluid cap for my Sensa Brake actuator. I made contact with Alko and I found it really depends who you are fortunate to get on the line, because they really do not want to speak with the end user. One was so short as to simply connect me to voice mail message ...

This is a video shot by my then 9 year old grand daughter. I think you'll get the idea of what a Careel looks like during a cruise. PS: when buying a boat it is far more value to buy a known and respected design rather than a boat that is perhaps a one off issue. Video below: https://youtu.be/kjocvg...

Re: Noobie - saying Hi
I have been thinking about this for a little bit. One thing that you must keep in mind is "What is it that I want to buy a sail craft for." This is an important question. If the answer is to sail as fast as possible, perhaps win a race or two then clearly a fast RL24 may fit the bill for you. A hart...

Re: Noobie - saying Hi
I think the above comment about the RedWitch is very valid. They are a stable deep water yacht, but I would hardly call them trailable due to the fixed keel situation. The comment about the RL for price are valid too, but an RL is a racing dinghy in the form of a TS, it has a cabin. If you want spee...

Re: What should I do about my unreliable powerwinch?
I had an interesting experience on the weekend, which I think has given me some clues as to what might be happening. The anderson plug at the back of my car is run through one of these things, just after the wiring leaves the battery, under the bonnet: ..................... I don't really think it'...

Hugh the position of the compass must be away from any metal or magnetic interference. Near a radio will not be good as the radio body usually contains many metal parts.

Re: What should I do about my unreliable powerwinch?
The one negative that I have with my Super Winch 5000 (now perhaps 16 years old) is that I do not have a remote control. I can fashion one with a little imagination using appropriate strings, (Noelexian has done this) but I must say that it has never been a real issue, so i have not made one. I simp...

I received the following email from Port Phillip Council today. It looks like the new marina will indeed be designed to comply with the latest Australian Standards. I have not actually seen AS 3962-2020 because Standards Australia has not sent me a copy despite the fact that we had made a substantia...

It was a great weekend joining my friends Paul and Dale on Paul's Boomerang 20, Sea Dove. The race was very well organised and well catered for by the Warneet Motor Yacht Club. Because of the early morning start the briefing took place on the evening on Friday 5th. A nice breakfast was provided the ...

This is not over yet and I encourage everyone with an interest in TS sailing in Victoria to write to both DEWLP and the Port Phillip Council to ask why the Proposed redevelopment of the StKilda Marina is not being done to meet AS3962-2020. Below is an email that I have received from Jasmine J Collar...

Re: The Future Of Trailer Sailing
I have to say after watching the performance of the Waspz sailing I was very heartened and now more than convinced that sailing, including TS sailing is far from dead. There is now a truly exciting alternative to those pesky noisy, petrol guzzling sedoos or whatever they are called. Once those peopl...
