How do I delete a topic?

Post by SkipperZest » Oct 18th, '12, 08:53

The Buy and Sell forum asks me to delete sold items but for the life of me I cannot discover how to!

The bottom right corner of your post has several little boxes, one has a cross in it. Click on that and it will ask you if you want to delete your post. 8) Now, there have been a few problems recently whereby people could not get it to work. If this is the case then pm me and i will do it for you. :D

Those little boxes you mention appear in my private messages but not in my posts, so I still can't see how to delete them.

Sorry then, but we will have to wait for one of the admins to enter the fray. Being a mod i can see various boxes, but forget what was there before i was one.

PS, noticed that you found the thanks button, if there is one it should be near to it.

Mike,
Hopefully you should be able to edit the heading and add the word "SOLD"

Regards

A couple of other people have contacted me in the last week or so to delete things for them too; although they found the delete button alright, they got one of the various "I'm sorry Dave, I can't let you do that" messages.

Cannot speak for Zeb, but if anyone is having difficulty deleting a post, your own, not someone else's, I am happy for you to contact me via pm and will do it for you. Doubt that there will be a flood of these all of a sudden. 8) Just give the thread title and the post no.

From this screen shot the settings ( SECOND LINE DOWN) DO allow individuals to delete posts.
