Dear Ross 780 Owners,
It is with great pleasure that we can now confirm details for the 2012 Ross 780 State Titles Regatta, with the following information: -
When - 14th & 15th April 2012
Where - Jervis Bay Sailing Club
Why - We have selected Jervis Bay (Jervis Bay Sailing Club - ) as the venue/host club for this regatta, due to it's proximity to owners to the south, north & west so owners don't need to travel too far and that the racing area is doesn't offer local knowledge advantage to our group.

Racing on Saturday 14th will commence at 1330 Hrs and comprise of a minimum of three (3) Sprint Races (Triangle, Hot-dog & Finish) The Starts on this day will be a Three (3) Minute start sequence to ensure we get a minimum of three races.
Racing on Sunday 15th will commence at 1230 Hrs and be a single Olympic course (Triangle, Hot-dog, Triangle & Finish) The Start on this day will be a conventional 5 minute start sequence.
Cost - is $50/boat for the Regatta
Place Awards - 1st, 2nd & 3rd after both days completed. It is proposed to also integrate a Handicap system, that will aggregate handicap data after the completion of the three races on Saturday. Handicap awards will be 1st, 2nd & 3rd for performance improvement in the Sunday race.

I have attached three files to help your planning - "Callala Bay Detail" - shows detail of the Boat ramp, surrounding streets and the viewing/racing area.
"Callala Bay Directions" shows the best inbound route
"Jervis Bay Race Area" defines our area of racing.

The boat ramp is located on Boorawine Terrace, Callala Bay, and is a good quality concrete ramp, with an adjacent long timber wharf. After rigging your mast and transiting to the boat ramp - YOU MUST keep your car/trailer to the beach side of the road or you will impact the street lights that line the street.
Accommodation - You can stay aboard your boat and the best sheltered location is Currambene Creek at Huskinson (which is the the normal location/entry/exit if you've done the Jervis Bay Challenge Regatta) The Myola Caravan Park ( is well located to our Regatta and has tent & Cabin accommodation.

We welcome all Ross 780 owners to this regatta, and if you know of a Ross 780 owner that is not on this distribution list, please on-forward this mail.

Please indicate your attendance so that we can finalize arrangements and don't hesitate to contact me if you need any further help.

Best Regards
