Whitsundays to Coffs Harbour

Post by Tussock » May 9th, '17, 16:06

Right, you lot... I'm coming to you for advice because you're the most skilled, experienced and accessible Aussie cruisers out there. That piece of grovelling done:

If you had a small sailboat (24 ft) to get between the abovementioned areas, what time of year and broad conditions (as in: Low off NSW coast to block the SE trades in the northern areas) would be best? Being a Kiwi, I'm not familiar with the Australian east coast, and any advice would be very welcome.

Cheers,
Tussock

Have a look at Alan Lucus' Cruising Guides - they seem to be the definitive books, then 100 Magic Miles for the Whitsundays.

Thanks Duncan, that's exactly what I was looking for.

Much obliged,
