Re: Keel housing crack

Here's a different angle with the keel in shot. Dunno why it flips the photo sideways sorry. Thanks for the help :D Yes now I can see and understand the location of that crack. I guess you are first going to have to understand how that keel case is actually constructed. Drying it out would not be d...

Re: Keel housing crack

Just wondering,I am looking at the photo and it seems to be a photo of the skeg not the keel box at all. Would it be possible to take a side elevation photo, perhaps showing a part of the keel so we can really get an appreciation of the problem.. If it is the fibreglass that covers the skeg insides ...

Re: #@**# This is really bad

There are a number of organisations that may have an obligation, of sorts, to offer us support. Australian Sailing, the State based yachting groups like YV, the Federal Department of health - sport, State departments of sport and recreation etc. After all this site is an important resource for old ...

Every other forum I am a member of sends emails that replies to posts have been made, as well as monthly prompts that things have happened on the forums since I last visited. This issue was raised by me a couple of years ago and I correlated t...

Re: Marley Point 2019

So get there early enough with a large enough group of yachts ? It'd be interesting to see how much of the plover point wind shift would dissapear if the cruiser club parked a bit further into the straights What time is early enough o you think? I am thinking that if a fleet of cruisers are seen le...

Re: Marley Point 2019

The Cruiser Club website says they will be at "Storm Bay" which I suppose is Storm Point but I am almost sure that when I was at their Club Rooms (I am a member, Barbara liked their showers) last week I thought the coming events board said Plover Point. Many of their members run us over at everyone...

Re: #@**# This is really bad

Nope I tried that. I will just write the report and put it on my club's newsletter. It has become very difficult to write posts on TSP other then one liners like this one.
Cheers

#@**# This is really bad

I just spent the last 40 or more minutes writing up a story about Man overboard and this site has become so pathetic that I lost all of my work after I hit preview icon. For heavens sake surely the tardy response of TSP can be fixed.

Re: Marley Point 2019

We've stayed at Plover Point a few years back. What about the beach on the left side of the entrance to the channel. Would that be OK to beach our boats on? I think plover would be wiser- you'd effectively be blocking what is a very challenging entry. (the wind shifts on that bank are always fun) I...

Thanks for the feedback Sue. I have watched a couple of How to do it videos on Youtube. A couple of th did spray; i assumed, water. Polishing the hull

I want to polish the boat and have a good amount of 3M Perfect-It 111 Extra Cut rubbing compound. I have tried some on a bad scuff mark on the boat and it took the mark off very well, but I found the compound a little stiff. I am thinking of diluting it in some way, perhaps by wetting the surface as...
